Hi Rad, at 3:08 your are hitting the nail on the head. And interesting thing is that you can't even blame the people thinking that there is a 'silver bullet' exercise to fix the slap tear, because youtube provides so many (much) viewed videos that you have to do exercise x, y or z or all 3 of them to fix it. As you mentioned, and I can attest to that right now as you already know, its a complete and structured program that needs to be followed through and within 4-6 months the slap tear is basically 'fixed'.

Kind regards,

Dennis S

Sir, I too have a slap tear. I have a lot of pain. But mine is type 2 but I am not able to understand whether I should get Non surgical treatment or surgery done

I've been doing physical therapy for the last four months for my SLAP syndrome. I developed it around 2–3 years ago, and this year, I had an MRI that revealed chronic inflammation, tendonitis, a SLAP tear in my right shoulder, and decreased space in the acromion. My left shoulder has similar issues, though without a SLAP tear. My doctor hasn't specified the type of SLAP tear (and to be fair, I forgot to ask). The long head of my bicep feels almost like a guitar string, moving back and forth, but I’ve maintained my mobility. I can move through most angles without pain, though some discomfort arises with extreme angles.

I'm writing this out of curiosity to clarify something you frequently mention—“fixing.” By “fixing, ” do you mean that your SLAP tear actually healed after following the program? Or does it mean that you’re now able to train and do everything as before, even if it hasn’t completely returned to its original state?
