Self Myofascial Release of GB21 - Acupuncture Point - Doing myofascial release of an acupuncture point called Gall Bladder 21 (GB21) can be very effective for neck and shoulder pain.. It is interesting to note that in Chinese medicine, GB20 is also used to treat eye issues, which is another common symptom in tension headaches. The GB20 point is located at the base of the skull, at the upper portion of the SCM (sternocleidomastoid muscle) and the trapezius.

NOTE: Avoid using GB 21 during pregnancy, as certain acupuncture points can trigger uterine contractions and potentially lead to labor induction.

I am 61. I wish someone showed me this 30 years ago. My left shoulder and neck area has been really stiff and sore for years now, needles to say it is VERY tender on that side. Thank you so much Brian, this is concise and perfect information. PS Nickys;s "Yup" was so funny, I felt her pain LOL.
