The WILD Cut Content of The Pokémon Anime (Feat. Lumiose Trainer Zac)

The Pokemon anime has been ongoing for a very long time. Currently airing with the Pokemon Journeys series, the show has been around for a while. As such, there is actually a lot of cut content from the anime that we know about. This is stuff that was planned to be included at one point, but was scrapped for one reason or another. We're going to be highlighting this cut content in today's video, and Pokemon anime expert Lumiose Trainer Zac is here to help me out!

Man its just so unfortunate. The best written pokemon games could have had a way better anime adaption if that team rocket vs plasma special was released beforehand.

It's interesting that Shudo saw Lugia as female considering there ended up being a mother and child Lugia in the Master Quest arc if I remember right.

Also I agree that Ash's story should get an ending. I think as of recently they have been building toward this, since they kinda gave him more of a mentor role in the Sun & Moon anime and as far as I can tell Journeys too, plus they actually had him win a Pokémon League finally in Alola. The fact that they are bringing back a lot of old characters from Ash's travels in Journeys (like Gary and Iris) could be a sign of them winding down his story too. (They also gave him more of a mentor role in the movie "The Power of Us, " though that's a whole other continuity of course).

I remember how excited I was for Team Plasma vs Team Rocket, ever since it had been announced on Serebii. Everyone talks about how the gen 5 anime arc sucked but that's because they literally had to change the plot last minute. It's still something where it pains me to think about what could have been, even ten years later.

Man, it’s just so crazy to think about how different Pokémon woulda been had those episodes not been scrapped due to unfortunate circumstances. How different life would be if Takesh Shudo had Been able to write the stories for Ash and everyone the way he wanted. But nonetheless it’s super cool to hear about all the cut content!!

The team plasma episode I’ve definitely seen a trailer for and thought it was another Japan only episode and it’s a shame to learn how it’s never seen the light of day in Japan as well. Hope one day they do release it

Man, Takeshi Shudo had a grand vision for Pokémon, he really wanted it to be something special and for everyone, instead of the episodic kid-focused crud the anime is now. Yeah, his ideas are wild by today's standards, but back then Pokémon lore was unexplored and vague, so there was a lot more room to play around in. If that guy got what he wanted, I think I'd actually watch the anime!

Ideas for your next content : Misinformation/Misguide of Official Pokemon Strategy Guide. Ironically despite the book name, there are few mistakes in the book that is misleading.

Some of the things that I can recall :

G/S book: You can get mystery legendary pokemon near the waterfall of Mt.Silver.

FRLG book : Supposedly you can get Silver Silph at Celadon City dept store ( not sure what is for as the book does not explained it )

R/S : There is high rate to catch Feebas on route 119 just under the bridge even though the tiles are supposed to be random.

Wurmple will evolve into Silcoon/Cascoon based on the clock ( ie day or night )

I’m pretty sure there are others if you can get all the official pokemon guide book.
