I really enjoy this podcast, but if I could make a suggestion to create an edited 10 minute condensed version of each podcast for those of us that don’t have 45 minutes to watch this one podcast. You can still leave the long version out there for those that prefer it. You two are a great listen and provide really good information and I am just suggesting a way to make it even better.

No problem out in California, but the recessed headlights could be a problem with snow. The Cybertruck has recessed headlights and at least one of their owners have pointed out problems with snow.

The door handles seems thin and I would be worried about it breaking. I hope it is not a jamming hazard for fingers.

Ford uses SoundScreen Acoustic Glass for windshields on Premium and GT that includes UV protection. The windshield will have a SoundScreen logo on the glass. I wonder if you noticed better outside sound reduction on the Mach-E. I noticed a higher outside noise level during videoing when driving at speed. It got more quiet when you stopped.

Have you tried running ABRP on Android Automotive? ABRP recently added support for additional vehicles and it would be interesting to see if ABRP can use the car's telemetry without a OBD2 BT dongle.

I also prefer portrait rather than landscape for map display.

I like the different driver display modes.

The red interior looks too garish, the blue greyish one is better.

I did hear the motor sounds outside.:) I have never turned on the motor sounds on my MME as I love the quiet.

I find the 360 camera very useful when parking.

I have test driven the Equinox EV AWD and the Mache E gt and I felt a little more at home in Equiox. But I want the over the top power of the Mache. Might go for an Eruption green gt with a bronze package. The lack of CarPlay in the Equinox would bother me less if it had Apple Music. Would be annoying to have to change services because of the car.

Back hatch--the hard deck cover slides out about a foot (pull out using the finger loop). Slide it back into the lower slot to give you a bit more vertical room inside the hatch! I actually had to show the dealer salesman this!

Went from a Volt to a Bolt and now the EQNX . Love em all. Looked at a Mach E but got a great deal from Chevy so here we are. Love Super Cruise but we really dont do a lot of road tripping. Also the increase in range over the Bolt is super.
Turned the auto lift gate off pretty quickly. Also disabled the emergency braking as its way to aggressive. Left the alerts on though

In a strange way, the Mach-E is literally both of Chevy's EV SUVs in one package- it is sized similar to the Equinox EV, but it has the more performance oriented tuning and setup of the Blazer EV.

You can argue GM had made some redundancy in their lineup, but it does mean the Equinox EV can be priced more aggressively than Ford can do with the Mach-E.

For the map, you could hit the compass icon on the left, below the audio icon (red and white arrow) a few times for switching to Perspective mode and see better. I like the 3D perspective instead of the flat North up or overview mode. It's that what you need?

Really enjoyed this, and looking forward to more comparison and contrast between Mach-E and Equinox. I'm planning my first EV purchase, and although I'm leaning towards the Mach-E, I'm considering the Equinox as well. One question, and that's regarding the unit that sits in the upper center of the windshield that holds all the forward-looking sensors. In my test drive of the Equinox, I found that to be kind of large and intrusive. Do you find that blocking vision at all or do you just get used to it?

Great comparison. It's not just helpful for someone considering a Mach E vs an Equinox. Brand X vs Equinox shoppers can get lots of good info about the Equinox from this as they shop whatever else might be of interest.
