Now that the Chevy Bolt is dead there has been a big gap in the affordable EV Market. The Chevy Equinox picks up the slack and improves upon an already impressive philosophy.
150kw charge speed replaces the old 55kw we experienced in Bolt
319 miles of range removes almost all anxiety
A quiet refined cabin with Super Cruise makes it feel luxurious.

I love that the center screen isnt just a square and is actually shaped to fill out the entire screen. It looks much cleaner and premium

8:18 the screens may be nice, but the mandatory data plan once the free trial ends isn't. Thats why I am against them removing CarPlay and Android Auto. I don't want ANOTHER subscription.

Ev makes more sense for cheap cars this is a prime example

I love the Google built in UI, it's that the car now needs an internet subscription that's the problem. They're trying to turn cars into disposable devices like phones...

Tedward is bang on with his assessment here. I too am a Lexus GX460 daily driver. My wife opted for this as our entry into EV world and as her replacement for her 2012 equinox. We drove an AWD blazer first and were highly impressed and loved the power but it wasn’t at our price point. The equinox was sitting there and it’s a good looking car. We took the FWD for a drive and loved it. She was sold on the super cruise. It’s amazing in case you are wondering. A lot of EV and a lot of car for the money here. It feels like you are driving a little sports car with the way it wraps around you. And yes, it’s very smooth. I find myself stealing it all the time to run errands. Much nippier than the GX!

The lack of a start/stop switch shows that GM is beginning to understand EVs. I would appreciate a quick passcode screen pop up to prevent children or thieves driving off in the car when the key is accidentally left in the cup holder. This car has so many more plus’s than minus’s that make it a great choice in the marketplace, especially at the current price. GM is back in the EV game in a great way.

Seems great, but if it’s got that no CarPlay/Android Auto thing GM tried that’s kind of a killer for me, at least.

It appears that GM learned its lesson and unlike the disastrous Blazer EV rollout, the GM engineers appears to have done proper engineering on the Equinox EV and made it a reasonably viable vehicle.

You keep calling it a small SUV and even comparing it to the Bolt. Its 191" long and 77"wide ...hardly small and much bigger than the Bolt.

This has become my favorite car channel. Good work.

I drove one the other day and like it. I wish it had about fifty or sixty more HP without having to go to AWD. When my dealer gets their allocations I am first on the list to order one. It will be the 3RS, Red Tint with two tone red and black interior.

We purchased the 2025 Equinox EV 1LT and we absolutely love it. Lots of dealerships in our area are doing EV loyalty discounts as well as the federal tax credits. If you own a chevy bolt at the time of purchase, we got $3, 000 off the MSRP of the car.

It is comfortable and feels luxurious for the price. My only gripe is that the stereo speakers don't sound the best in the base model, but that can easily be fixed and I'm being picky because I am a music lover.

Definitely worth the buy if you want an affordable long range EV.

Very impressive. Based on reactions, I feel like they lost a ton of sales by not offering Android Auto but good to know they cover the subscription for 8 years.

Lost me on needing a subscription + no android auto/carplay. Guess they need to make up for their losses somewhere by nickel and diming their users and propriety nonsense.

@ 6:31 You need to fasten seatbelt to move in Drive/Reverse. They thought of it

Please 40k cars are in no way entry level, even if the car industry wants you to think so. If the 2lt with the large range was available for 24k before subsidies it would be entry level today.

I wish Chevy would have called it something else; bring back an old name plate. Also, I have a 2024 Trax and love the feel of the drivetrain; it sounds great but I’d definitely consider this ride! Great review, thank you!

Pulsar and Honda are using the Chevrolet Blazer platform.
