My wife and I celebrated 50 years this past August 10. I bought her a dozen roses and took her to dinner at one of her favorite restaurants. When we got home that night, I put this song on, held her close and we slow danced in our living room. She had tears in her eyes as I serenaded the chorus of this song to her. It was sweet. I love her dearly and want the world to know. ❤

This wonderful song takes me back to the late 70s and one of the biggest mistakes of my life, Sherry Arnett. An amazing girl with the most beautiful smile I've ever seen. This was one of her favorite songs. In my foolishness of youth, I let her down and we couldn't get past that. Sherry, 40+ years later and I still think of you often. Hope your life has been blessed. 47 years & going. His rough year that cancer took us through. I'd sit n watch my husband while I was very sick. I kept thinking what if I don't wake up? What if I don't make it? What's going to happen to him? He cried when I cried, he was in pain when I was hurting so much. I felt the strong love from my husband. After 2 1/2 years of remission we've come closer than ever before. Together we fought a battle against cancer. Together we've come this far n beat it! Thank God for giving us strength. Thank God for the love we share! I love this song!
