We made a small mistake: EU and Europe are different. That means Article 13 will only have a direct impact on the countries that are part of the European Union, not every country in Europe.

Here's a list of all member states of the EU:
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the UK (at least for now)

Update: Article 13 has just been passed on March 26, but YouTube has not yet released an official article about it. If nothing changes, it should take effect in 2021 in Europe. More updates to come!

Em, article 13 has ALREADY been passed. What they are currently debating over isn't exactly the article itself, but how it is worded. What is currently wrong with the wording is that it is so vague that it dictates ALL forms of media are under its influence, and YT and all platforms MUST help in preventing copyright misusage. Basically, there is nothing we can do about the bill passing. This issue needs to be looked at from another angle.

I still don't understand this. Do they realise that letting this pass means that many people in Europe may loose their career or hobby. And think about people who aren't in Europe and can't watch their favourite YouTubers. If this passes I'm done.
