All chefs need to follow three rules. 1.) Be a sponge; you can always learn something new.
2.) A good scolding from a more experienced chef is sometimes needed so you can grow and ground yourself.
3.) In order to be successful at this job you will have to work harder, longer and do the things no one else will do .

I worked in a kitchen for 3 years and the best chef was the kindest and most humble human being I've met but the 3 that were atrocious with no sense of taste could not handle being reminded of their mistakes.
