I reviewed the ARCCAPTAIN MIG 200 on my channel too and I still feature it from time to time when I use it on welding jobs....love it....I tried to burn it up and couldn't do it...I ran it so hard the coating was melting off of the welding cables but it just kept welding.
Did you notice the light inside the cabinet to help you see the drive roll area?...that's a thoughtful feature. I'm using the MIG 200 on site now welding thin galvanized steel on some bleachers at baseball field. I really like the ARCCAPTAIN flux core wire on that stuff. I tried ARCCAPTAIN wire against Lincoln NR-211 and found that I like the ARCCAPTAIN flux core wire better. Great review you...thank you

I am 75. soon to be 76 and I took a year of welding in high school. Only AC & DC arc welding and acetylene gas welding were taught as there were not any Mig welders back then. I had an old used Lincoln wire feed welder that only used flux core and had two settings, High & Low years later. I convinced my wife to buy me this welder for Christmas last year and she agreed, but said it had to remain in the box so she could wrap it and put it under the Christmas tree LOL. I have used the arc weld feature as that is what I am most comfortable with, and the flux core as I didn't have any gas till recently. I am just now learning how to Mig weld with gas. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?? Just wanted to say that your video is the best one I have watched on this welder. You did a very good job at explaining how everything works and how to start with the settings, and where you are used to welding. I watched every review I could find before deciding to purchase this welder, and yours is very informative without all the technical jargon.
Thanks, Jim Light

That was a really engaging and on-point look at one of the new batch of low-cost multi-process machines. It wasn't too down in the weeds on details or cut & polish analysis on welds, just overall features and function. It seemed more geared to the knowledgeable beginner, but the test runs were all very practical. Great review!

Just bought the welder. Love the channel. Have a 1964 chevy P10 I am building out for fun. Going to add skirts to it with this welder. Starting with flux core. Maybe u could do a video for us beginners with some flux core tips and spot welding for 20 guage sheet metal by making holes in the sheet metal and spot welding the 20 guage sheet metal to 1 inch square 1/8th thick stock behind as the support for the skirt. Love the collabs between u and half assed also!

I have this welder and im happy with it. Currently running .030 flux. Since i dont have a gas bottle. Still trying to get the settings dialed in to weld 16 gauge and 18 gauge sheet metal.

Literally a newbie as I've never touched a welder before a couple weeks ago, but your channel is awesome and you do such a great job explaining things and sharing tips and tricks! Had I seen this before I bought my beginner setup, I would have picked one of these up. Thanks for sharing!

I have been welding for 51 years and have over that time welded lots of cast iron with mig. You dont try and weld the parts directly together, you butter each side with mig then join the two buttered layers together with the last pass, plain wire works quite well for things like cracks in water jackets but if you want greater strength use stainless wire.

Love your show, thanks for the demo. Seems like a nice machine. Lets see how it is in a year!

That thing works great and your skills are commendable.i just got a CTS200 from amico power that has stick, tig, and plasma but was over double the money. No mig. Gotta love the rate at which technology is advancing .when i started in the 80s it was brazing and stick only. That brazing is an art in itself, whew and the guy that taught me was an old school lead guy. Thanks for keeping us up on the cutting edge guys!

Impressive enough, it made a great high school graduation gift for my grandson. Thanks, Karl, for making this video and all the others. Something to bring our generations together. First project, build a Weld Cart, he's on it.

Learning more and more every video... great work ... noticed the Australian Capital Territory number plate to the left of your welders... nice touch.

Great review. It would be awesome to see another review of this with lift arc tig. A mini lesson in lift arc tig for body work from a great welder fabricator like you. Just picked up a 56 chevy 210 project looks like this will be my welder. I have seen tons of great reviews from guys like you about this company. Killer machine. Can't beat the price. Keep up the great videos

Karl, big fan of the channel! Not only a great review but I learned more on how to use the welder from watching this video than I did reading the instruction manual which I found a little hard to understand. I feel like a lot of these Chinese companies use Google translator when writing the manuals rather than using a native english speaker edit them. Anyway great job on the review and keep turning out the content, we are all learning a lot, you are wise beyond your years!!! Thank you!!!!
