Silent Crypt was originally founded in 2019 in Wrocław, Poland, by Adam “Morbius” Kowalski. Until March 2024, the band functioned only as a project, without any permanent members. Morbius experimented with different musical styles, collaborating with various musicians, but there was no stable lineup during this period.
In August 2024, Silent Crypt officially reformed under the same name with a solid lineup. The current members are Morbius (vocals, keyboards), Katarzyna "Mary" Nowak (guitar, vocals), Zofia "Nebula" Lewandowska (keyboards, soundscapes), and Johnweyn alias DJ Obsti (DJ, electronic elements and vocals). This new iteration of Silent Crypt brings together a diverse group of musicians who contribute to the band’s unique sound.
A key aspect of the band is that Silent Crypt has no permanent lead singer. Instead, all members take turns on vocals, creating a dynamic and ever-changing vocal landscape depending on the song and mood. This flexibility allows the band to explore a wide range of musical expressions.
Moreover, Silent Crypt is open to new collaborations. Anyone with a passion for music and a desire to contribute to the band’s dark and atmospheric aesthetic is welcome to join.
