Just a question. It's been many, many years since I had Algebra and Geometry. I understand X = 3 and plotting a vertical line on the right side of the Y axis. I also understand y= -5 and plotting a horizontal line 5 integers below the X axis. But, when you say plot X=3, y= -5; wouldn't that be just one point on the graph 3 to the right and 5 integers below the x axis.

There is no ‘and’ in the question! ‘Look at this or look at that’, no correlation. Also note y=-5 is actually a function, x=3 is technically not, since there is more than one y value for any one x. One needs to look the definition of functions vs relations. Alas, once parametric functions get introduced, the graphs become amazing!🎉 I imagine spirals, loops an hoops, fractals❤

Hi John my name is Kim I have a question? In April of this year. I'm taking a ACT test for the adult high school graduation. I don't know nothing about pre algebra and algebra also geometry. Is any can you help to past the test?

I thought the "easy mistake" was plotting the point (3, -5).
