Why is Russia in Europe and not Asia? Moscow is in Europe. Same reason why Turkey is in Asia instead of Europe, Ankara is in Asia.

France owns parts of Oceania and North and South America. UK owns Bermuda which is in North America. Spain owns bits of Africa. Egypt owns the Sinai which is in Asia.

Indonesia owns Western Papua which is in Oceania or basically linked with Australia. America even owns Hawaii which is part of Oceania.

Important thing to realize is that Continents are largely subjective. Africa, Asia and Europe are all part of the same connecting Landmass, which has been called Afroeurasia, but I prefer to call it Paleogaia.
