Putin Calls Moscow Drone Attack a 'Terrorist' Act
Показать описание
Russian president Vladimir Putin called a drone attack on Moscow Tuesday a "terrorist act." Putin said Moscow's air defense “worked in a satisfactory way,” but added "there are things for us to work on."
“The Kyiv regime … attempts to intimidate Russian citizens and strikes at civilian buildings," he said at a public event, responding to a question from the head of a Kremlin-allied think tank. "It is, of course, a clear indication of terrorist activity.”
Putin said that Russia didn't start "this war", and that Russia is not using "means, which are being used by Ukrainian tycoons."
"The attack on civilian facilities in Moscow is another confirmation of this," Putin noted.
Putin added that Russia was deceived by NATO and its statements there would be no movement of the alliance to the East, but "they made it to Ukraine."
A rare drone attack jolted Moscow early Tuesday, causing only light damage but forcing evacuations as residential buildings were struck in the Russian capital for the first time since the military campaign in Ukraine.
