Ya I figured this out when I was going through the steps to make a swiss made watch. Swiss autos are still fantastic so I like seeing it but I think people assume some swiss dude grinding there cases from blocks of swiss steel lol

Thats the reason my favorite are Japan watch brands Seiko, Casio and Citizen.

But it's such a shell game, I mean I'm shure that seko is as Chinese as all the homage and clones it's official if it's made by an authorized manufacturer. From what I've seen it would cost too much to match quality because it's part of the contract they are allowed to sell the same exact parts to the open market

Atleast they have a guideline.
You'd be surprised how many products from Europe that although labelled "made in XXXX" some EU country, cannot pass the standards under the EU to Korea FTA because the value of the content is not certified at over certain percentage required to be produced in Europe.

But a similar situation happens with at least Seiko as Japan watch. Seiko for US market, eu market, JDM, watches made in China, Singapore

We don’t produce gold nor diamonds in Switzerland so, perhaps that’s why this is as it is

Marc I do have to have handed off to you your mom and dad raised a great fantastic young man and please do a world of teach your kids the same way you’re very intelligent and I have bought one of your watches and seiko from which was a diver 200 m because I do go scuba diving it was a turtle oh and I bought an SKX 007 long time ago before they went stupid our prices and now I can see why you don’t sell them anymore because mine messed up and I looked at them on Amazon and eBay and oh my gosh, they are outrageous

Never understood the mystique of swiss made. If I am going to overpay for something, I prefer for it to be made in the U.S.A.

Then again I am also a Japanese watch fan, so maybe I just don't get it.
