HackTheBox Academy

Hacking, penetration testing, whatever name you want to give it.
It’s the art of getting a computer to do something that it wasn’t necessarily designed to do.

One of the best places to learn ethical hacking is a company called Hack The Box.

I've been a fan of Hack The Box for a while now and I'm excited to be working with them.

If you have been in the security industry for any amount of time, you have probably heard of Hack The Box. They provide a place where you can start trying to hack into computer systems in a safe and importantly, a legal way.

It’s really simple to use and everything is gamified which keeps everything fun, interesting and most of all keeps you motivated.

You can sign up for free and start trying to hack your way into the target computers straight away.

Unless you know what you’re doing though, you’ll end up like me all those years ago, getting stuck and eventually giving up.

For exactly that reason, HackTheBox built their training Acadamy. Here you can get real, hands-on training that will take you from almost zero to hacking into machines in no time at all. It’s completely browser-based and you can get started for absolutely free.

I can't even describe how accurate this story is compared to mine.
I also had the problem with backtrack 5 XD
I know how to do basic commands like ls or cd but man it was hard to launch a dos attack XD

im a little confused with the cubes. lets say i finish all tier 0 and tier 1 modules and wanna start on tier 2 modules but i dont have enough cubes. i get a monthly silver plan which means i can only unlock 1 tier 2 module every month since it gives me 200 cubes. i feel like a lot of time passes by the time i can do another module. this is even worse the higher the tier goes
