Don't settle, wait for God's best

Hey guys in this video I'm sharing a little message from an example in my life of something I recently experienced. This message is on learning to trust the Lord, not settling, and waiting for God's best - whatever that looks like in your life!

We need to get rid of the scarcity mindset (believing we'll never find someone as great) because it's not true. This starts by humbly recognising your worth as a son/daughter of God and that the right person will appreciate that.

I always think of this picture I saw of Jesus with a little girl. She’s clutching this tiny teddy bear in her arms and doesn’t want to let it go and behind Jesus is a HUGE teddy bear. If only she’d surrender the small one, she’d take joy in the much bigger bear that Jesus plans to give her. I don’t know what happened to me really, but I honestly no longer desire a partner. Of course I would like to marry someday but I’m at peace in my singles and actually quite happy to be single and to have time to figure myself out. Love this video and your content. I just broke up with my drug addicted and abusive ex of 2 yrs two weeks ago. Blocking his number was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. I know God gave me the strength to let go of that relationship! I realize now that he rescued me from a lifetime of misery.

Such a good message! The coffee machine not being anything like it was advertised reminds me of how people present themselves as one thing but there is a whole other hidden reality. It just reminds me of why we need discernment from the Holy Spirit so much to help us navigate life.

We are taught to know God in all our ways even when buying a coffee machine. God helped me in buying a fridge at the price I budgeted for🙌. We serve a Great God who helps us in the simplest ways🙌.

Sarah, you have no idea how much I needed to hear this. It’s not like I’ve never seen this, God has shown this to me so many times and I keep trying to take control but thank you for putting it into words. I also saw one of your videos with Adam where he says that the Lord told him “Be still. Wait” and he also said that the world will always bring a counterfeit of what God is holding for you and that really changed me. It’s so true. I’m committed to waiting and using this time to pray for that person. I didn’t mean for this to be long, but the point is that you and Adam are truly making a change on peoples lives. this is so real.
at the end of 2023/early 2024, i jumped ahead into a relationship for the same reasons you bought that coffee machine— he seemed good on paper, and i was afraid nothing better would come along and i’d miss out on a potential future spouse.
it’s my deepest dream to meet the right guy and have a family, so i was really eager when i thought i’d found the “one”.
pretty quickly i realized that this relationship was a lot like your coffee machine—not matching the description.
God was able to show me that he wasn’t the right guy for me, and it was really painful to break up.
now it’s been almost six months since and i am trying to wait on God. i am hopeful for whatever He has for me.
