Henry actually injured his shoulder in the process, since he has to change the swing of the sword. Tom was lucky, Henry is a seasoned veteran of swordmanship, otherwise, Tom would've been kaput. The katana has some weight in it, & the has to be precise & deliberate, wrong angle & you can screw you up.
