For days, Democrats have been hammering Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance for policy positions and statements he's made about women, in part due to a 2021 clip about "childless cat ladies" that has since gone viral. This is the first political candidate that I have been personally offended by. He called me a childless cat lady. His comment infers that we are insignificant, less than and excluded. Project 2025 speaks directly to this concept. It’s promotes families and motherhood. Which is a beautiful thing if that’s what you want, but It also speaks to them getting perks that single people will not get. Project 2025 actually excludes single people as if they’re an insignificant part of society.

Vance is far more dangerous than we thought. Although he holds archaic views of women and families, he amply articulates those views and makes them seem reasonable. They are not. More significantly, they are divisive. If there is anything we can learn from Harris’ appeal thus far it is that the country wants to turn a new leaf and move on.
