A fun more labor intensive solution by substitution and usage of quadratic equation

Let u=sin(x)
Eq becomes
12u^2 + u -1 =0

Use quadratic equation
U =-0.333... and 0.25
Ditch 0.25 by interval restriction

Sub back into U = sin(x)
-0.333... = sin(x)
arcsin the whole thing
arcsin(-0.333... = sin(x)
arcsin(-0.333...) = x

how does he get to the factors? In the general case, he has to solve the quadratic equation to get the roots...

the calculator spits out -19.5 degrees. you could do better in explaining how that translates to 199.5 and 340.5 degrees.
