@Killuminatismd a lot of times, it is a matter of just finding the correct identity to use and then recognizing how to factor from there... that is what makes these problems tricky to me.

awesome patrick, thanks again for the video :) is there a particular way to go about solving these? or is it just trial and error with the identities, until you find the right one?

Is it okay to divide out terms like that if you have, for instance, a sin squared on one side and a sin on the other, just as long as you aren't completely getting rid of something like at the beginning of this problem?

Wait, I'm confused. How did 2sinxcosx - cosx = 0 become cosx(2sinx-1) = 0? I can't wrap my head around what happened. Why -1? Where did that come from? Also how is cosx= pi/2? Is that like, an identity? Also, why 3pi/2?
