Lol. Everyone complaining it’s not sharp not realizing that the final image is at like 80% crop

Thank you so much, the zoom test was exactly what I was looking for.

That’s amazing to this day my Sony A7R IV still shoots clean high quality images . Post editing is insane with this 6M+ pixels in each photo . Adding to that AI software on Mac makes the impossible possible now as to literally upscale up to 8K for prints and lose not one detail at all it’s just insane . I’m now planning on going V or waiting for the next one to upgrade

Should have used the apsc crop and got 600mm zoom

This is what shooting at 1/2000 on a tripod can do for you.

Shutter speed 1/2000(still subject)and iso-1000 in daylight?

I'm excited about the a7rV (and own an a7riii), but that image looks terrible. You either introduced motion blur, or possibly it missed focus. Maybe tighter aperture would help too... Not sure where you went wrong, but I don't believe the camera is to blame for the poor image quality even if you had cropped in way more than you did.

So what it can do is it can take your creeping skills up a notch 🙈

Personally i prefer the 50-300 at 665g. I have the old 70-300 at 545g. It is very good and incredibly sharp and contrasted with fast af. Today i would have chosen of course the 50-300 with Vibration Compensation and the extra 50mm.
But the a7c ibis is good even at 300mm. But for video VC must be better and you get 50mm.
However my 70-300mm is more lightweight and do allow more light in the 70-200mm range.

Mount your lens to the tripod with a Len collar. Put ISO on 100, shutter speed around 1/250 or wherever you need to get the f-stop to about f8 (Even if you go below 1/60 the tripod will keep it still). Use a shutter remote so as not to touch the camera when firing. Tamron makes decent stuff, I would ignore all those comments. Then you will get no blur, you will have less noise at iso 100, and then you can just worry about how to store all those huge images! LOL..

Last photo looks kinda blurry and out of focus. Is that normal with long zoom lenses and high megapixels?

Would have looked just as soft with a 24mp camera. Either the Tamron lens is soft at 400mm or camera shake was introduced because of lack of a tripod collar.

1/2000 and 1000 iso during broad daylight? Try with 1/320, for example, and way less iso

Grout lines aren't sharp - is that "digital zoom" ?? Or just Tamron sharpness?

Swear to god galaxy s23 ultra can do this and clearer/sharper too…and it’s probably 10k less expensive

What do you think which is the better camera A7r5 or Nikon z8?

What are your strap locks looped to? They're much bigger than the ones that came with mine.

Wait a minute, wouldn't the lens actually do the zooming and not the camera? 😅
