My soon to be ex wife is a Covert Narcissest and I can't wrap my mind around it. Nothing is logical about her thinking and hers behavior. It's like dealing with a 4 to 6 year old girl trying to get her to clean her room.

Getting better at seeing them upfront but the occasional ones are tougher to spot, the colleague you only see once every two weeks, the friend of a friend ect. As a rule of thumb I avoid the instant best friends and the boundary tester's (overt/covert) and its getting easier. As a child of a CN parent you're marked by them and Narcissists think they've found easy pickings, this doesn't have to be the case.

1:10 "Charming, charismatic, incredible, special"

That's TOTALLY a former friend of mine. Everyone likes him and I felt special being with him. But he divorced twice and his first spouse ran away from home.

Do narcissist expect you to read their minds to know what they want or need and then get mad at you because you failed them?

Agree to something to have them tell you maybe you don't really want that and bam, it is rejected by those who offered in the first place, while in the face saying we're making progress. They are called "advocates", aka monkeys in a barrel.

It's just sex. Its not love. I'm not the one coming to save you. After he said all that I still stayed and tried to make him happy and just kept being pulled further in
