My Dermatologist says to keep it clean toss it in the clothes washer when you wash your towels once a week. And replace it at least every 6 months or sooner if it smells or looks icky.
If you don't want to wash it she says just to replace it monthly.

Don’t use your hands!!! I use a wash cloth then i hang it to dry on a rack and I throw it in my hamper and use a different one each day until there’s none left on my shelf(I have enough to last me about a week) and then i wash them with my towels or clothes. Also don’t wash full size towels with your clothes! It will make your clothes pill up

Hell no. I’m not using my hands to clean my self. That’s gross and dirty. Use a clean washcloth Everytime. Using ur hands is like doing the dishes with ur barehands. Nope. It doesn’t clean nothing. U need to scrub ur self. I can only imagine the stench.

Yeah no. Hands are not getting the dirt off my skin after a long work day! You need lather and texture to force off dead skin cells.

Yes use your hands, because on your hands are oils from your body an your hand is probably the cleanest you get
