It's really disappointing that Disney is stuck on the sympathetic villain approach. This really does not work when the character is supposed to be running a criminal empire.

I’m more frustrated with the execution of Boba’s character development in the TBOBF than the changes themselves. It makes sense after the Sarlac Pit and Jabba’s death that he’d want to change up how he does things. Had they introduced Cad Bane earlier in the show and compared those two characters, Boba’s decision to rule with respect would make a lot more sense. Modern Star Wars needs to spend more time fleshing out the characters we’re supposed to care about rather than trying to cram things into an 8 episode series. More episodes per season would be a good start to that imo.

-Shows up looking cooler than any other character
-Vader has to tell him not to disintegrate his target
-Is smart enough to track and set Han up for capture when others couldn't
-Isn't afraid to question Vader when he decides to freeze Han, who is worth a lot to him, most characters talk to Vader with fear (Love Morrison but OG voice delivers this line better for the character)
-Is mysterious and instantly iconic despite little screen time.

His death is really the only part that's lame in the OG trilogy, and I won't pretend that it isn't lame. Looking cool does help a lot, but it's also those in between the line things that people subconsciously pick up on that made him so cool and iconic originally. George himself didn't expect the popularity of the character and said he wouldn't have killed him in the way he did if he would have known.

Boba is my favorite Star Wars character in the series. Not necessarily from the movies, but the design and coolness of the vibe he put out. The show definitely did not hurt my love for Boba.

The OG trilogy wasn’t just the movies you also had the games, comics, and the EU. He was one of the coolest people and that’s why people remember him fondly. His comics were some of the first I read as a kid and not all of em were great but they were the most memorable and colorful.

Well, Temuera Robinson is almost 5 inches shorter than Jeremy Bullock. That's the beginning of everything.

The best Boba Fett belongs to the Expanded Universe where he bacame Mandalore, defeated a yuuzhan vong invasion and turned the Mandalorians into a galactic great power. Also he trained the daughter of his nemesis.

I liked Tem as Boba, his delivery of this line to Bo Katan after her insult “ this armour.. was my fathers” was bone chilling imo.

Disney ruined its own IP for Boba, Tem was really into it but didn’t like some of the creative decisions Disney forced onto it

Mystery and ambiguity make a character interesting. He was a favorite of kids when ESB came out.

The boba fett hate has already started to turn though. Now that it’s been 2 years, a lot of fans are already getting nostalgic for it and saying it wasn’t that bad. Similar to the prequels.

It was always implied that Boba Fett was awesome. Vader respected him and Jabba respected him. It is kind of a shame that he was "killed" in the way he was; he deserved better than that. I think George underestimated how cool he'd made Boba to fans. I think that was a bit of a misstep. And then Disney got hold of him and made a season full of deliberate missteps, because they're ideologically challenged. lol

When the Star of the show is part of the hate, you know you have a problem

The canon rotj novelization, “Beware the Power of the Dark Side” sheds some light in bob’s “death” in the Sarlacc. I recommend that any boba fan read it. One segment in particular sheds light on why boba was so easily defeated. It essentially mentions that boba could never be beaten by skill, but since Han always excelled at “dumb luck”, he was able to accidentally hit bobas jet pack and send him tumbling into the open mouth of the Sarlacc. Beware the power of the dark side is actually a cool novelization that does a good job of doing boba justice.

Every cool or bad ass thing Boba could've done they gave to Fennec. They even had the moped/scooter chick telling him no and giving him orders at one point 🤦🏻‍♂️

I like his redemption arc he’s had but he defiantly should portrayed more as a Anti-hero who isn’t evil but is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve his goal

Imagine making a Boba Fett show which has literally nothing to do with Boba Fett. We should have gotten Bounty Hunting, cold ruthless fight sequence, smart calculating quiet Boba, and characters in his rogues gallery like Bossk, Dengar, IG 88 etc. It should've been like the old Jango Fett videogame where Boba and all other hunters compete for a bounty and Boba outsmarts everybody and wins the contest in the end, but no, we get to learn about the importance of Tusken Culture, More sand planet because Disney is too cheap to build new sets, cartoonish mob bosses, and a kind hearted gentle Boba who could never hurt a fly. He was nice even BEFORE spending time with Tuskens. Yes, Disney, that's exactly what we wanted from a show about BOBA FETT. How do you fail Boba and also fail at making a proper show as well? Two out of seven episodes with zero relevance to the MC and his plot, and somehow, those are the most memorable parts? How do you manage to write a MC so incredibly stupid with zero agency and zero character motivation for anything he does? How do you manage to write a show where there are payoffs with no setup and setups with no payoffs this consistently? I'm amazed that a writer being paid millions could perform such a feat unless it was a PARODY.

Ill never forgive Disney for ruining my favorite star wars character Boba

He is one of my favorites and I loved following his story in the novels and comics. My favorite was how he and Han (and Jaina) developed a relationship and worked together out of necessity.

Turning a badass bounty hunter into a spineless grandpa who knows nothing about how crime world works is a big mistake.

Also, these people forget that not all Star Wars fans are movie-onlies.

Boba fett was awesome in the extended universe....a total badass...and he was portrayed as bumbling and constantly being saved by his friends. Id have preferred him to be ruthless like his characters on the books.
