Why does Cad Bane Hate Boba Fett?

Why Does Cad Bane Hate Boba Fett? Spoiler warning for episode 6 of the book of Boba Fett. The two are the most famous bounty hunters in the galaxy at their respective times, so why do we see so much resentment from Cad to Boba? There was an unfinished arc in the clone wars that would explain the relationship between the two. Cad Bane would have acted as a mentor to Boba in training him to be the best bounty hunter. During this arc Cad bane reveals that he knew Boba’s father Jango before the clone wars started, and that jango was his mentor thus he returns the favor in teaching Boba. The two have a falling out between some sort of conflict of innocents being harassed by cad bane. Boba challenges cad to a duel and the other bounty hunters there agree not to get involved. They draw! blasting each other at the same time. This scene could certainly still be canon as when we see cad in the bad batch he has a metal plate on his head and we see Boba’s famous dent in his helmet. I would love to see a second duel or maybe an all out fight between the two in the finale of the book of boba fett.

The Clone Wars arc is actually canonical, as they call back to their past in the book. Not by name, but there is past there, and they do the same draw.

Because if that duel between Cad Bane and Boba Fett, Bane received an shot to the heat, just like Boba did to his helmet. It is possible that Bane underwent cybernetics enhancements that saved his life and increased his reflexes. His quick draw now responds at the speed of thought. [He thinks 'draw/shoot' and his body reacts instantly.]

They have to finish the episode and release it in some way, but sadly it may never will 😭, could've been one of the best arcs

Boba's armor is jango's, in episode 2 when jango and obiwan fight on kamino. Obiwan gives the helmet that dent. In the beginning of the scene where boba says "dad look out" the helmet has no dent. Then when obiwan kicks jango over the edge and gets dragged along just before jango release the cable to drop obiwan you can see his helmet has a ding in it. It's from when obiwan kicks him when hes on the ground during their scuffle.

That really explains a lot about what’s going on with Boba Fett and Cad Bane! The full character development that Boba Fett’s TV series was so amazing that it gave me a much deeper look into the character’s complexity. Turns out Boba had a moral compass that’s rarely seen in a bounty hunter. He only receives rewards for his bounties, dead or alive, but doing so with no endangerment or harassment of innocents of any kind. The deleted scenes may not be completely canon because… well, they’re deleted scenes. But those pieces of Boba’s journey should have been kept, in my opinion.

A wild, wild guess here, but....
Maybe part of the reason why Cad hates Boba is because Boba has Jango's spitting image. Maybe Cad secretly misses Jango and resents the Jedi for killing his mentor and friend - so when he looks at Boba, he's reminded too much of his mentor. That, combined with the fact that Boba isn't nearly as ruthless as his father, is what gets to Bane, and causes the rift in their relationship.

What's funny is people really think Beskars indestructible, there was an episode on the clone wars showing Thrawn being pitched some sort of weapon that can disintegrate beskar. He rejected it because he wants the metal.
