Great tutorial, I mean really great. In comparison the majority of substance designer youtube "tutorials" which consists of a person speed a running a material and maybe it just me, could be just me but I find learning from a speed art video to be very difficult to if not impossible. But this video bucks the trend, like a tutorial video that ACTUALLY explains why x node is picked over Y node, what the node does etc... my god it's like we remembered the definition of what "tutorial" actually means.

great tutorial! one question though, is there a way to set the randomly rotated gradient in the tile generator to any value rather than only 90 degree increments?

Hi, just started looking into Designer and I have small feedback. I feel like this video is more of an example approach of creating a material, which it does really well and also shows some powerful features of the software. But saying it's "everything you need to know" is a bit of a stretch.
I would've liked to see the use of parameters, for example with the two tile generators needing the same settings, making a parameter to control both in sync would've been really nice. Overall looking into inputs and outputs would've been helpful, instead of creating a PBR template straight away. And for me personally, showing the Designer -> Painter workflow, exporting the result with configurable parameters in Painter was what I was looking for.

But overall it's a very nice introduction, just wish a bit more time was spent showing the different features and less time playing with values of already explained nodes.

PS: You need Node Wrangler add-on enabled in Blender for the Ctrl+Shift+T to work at the end.
