This is The Witcher universe that Cavil was actively fighting against. We always believed him, but now we REALLY understand.

Netflix should sell their rights to the franchise to someone who appreciates the source material and would do it justice. It’s just a cash grab for them at this point.

This whole show felt like an ad for the designer Iris von Herpen. She does really futuristic dresses and everything the princess wears is hers

Remember folks, don’t watch the show if you want this to stop. Netflix is carefully watching the engagement metrics, not the reviews.

This is the witcher the writers wanted to make without Henry getting in their way.

I laughed my ass off at the castings for Eredin and Avallac'h

Another issue with Netflix is every relationship between anyone needs to be romantic… the minute you do that and it not being a long journey getting there just ruins the whole thing. It’s as if Netflix doesn’t think friendship is anything but leading to something more…

I'm cringing at the mere description of the show. I can't imagine the amount of pain you must have gone through for our sake. You are a hero, sir.

I love the scene where the character who was very much in high security prison just shows up in a forest and is like "o ya I escaped"

Some issues have such an easy fix. Instead of "I thought sharing my songs would make up for my crime, but now I realize it doesn't", say "I tried to forget my crimes, lose myself in my songs, but they haunt me still."

That whole script remind me when i was teenager and writing fantasy novels as a hobby. I was using same cliches, and struggle with characters build up. Those novels were so unreadable. Only difference is that eventually I accepted my lack of talent and move on.

I just watched a 20 minute review of a show I'll never watch. No regrets.

her difference in reaction to her sisters death compared to that dude she just met when she thinks he's dead in the cave was hilarious.

That feeling when you watched Rings of Power and thought you hit the rock bottom and you can't go any lower, then suddenly you hear Lauren Fisstech knocking from down-under you to prove you wrong.

Thank you Netflix. Now when I revisit those old Polish TV/movie adaptations of the Witcher I actually think they're good.

The fact that they don't even know who ciri's ancestor is, speaks about the writers

It's just funny how the elves don't act like elves. They act like regular humans

the good guy group getting together sounds exactly like the first few hours of a DnD campaign session 1.

A random forest in Toussaint has had more care, lore and soul put into it than all of the Netflix "Witcher" stuff put together.

Can see why Henry is jumping ship. One thing I noticed watching this (I didn't watch the actual show) was that the costumes and props look so new; no distressing to the costumes (eg like in LoTR or PotC), which makes them seem lived in and well used. You often see that on budget, b-movie sets because I guess they don't have the money to have multiple versions of a costume at different levels of distress. It's surprising considering how much money was spent on the show.
