Funny I just worked on a car today and when I pulled down the skid plate there was the battery hold down sitting on top of it.
Sure enough fresh AAA branded battery under the hood free as a bird

I work for AAA .. and yes this indeed does happen.. then the member ( customer) ask me what happened…

That Olight headlamp is amazing. I am pretty sure that is the same Perun 2 I have, and it has been absolutely spectacular for well over a year. I even lost it in a customer's yard once and it sat outside in the rain for almost a full month, still works perfectly fine.

I don't know what 'Merican "AAA" technicians need as a starting qualification, but here in New Zealand, to even get employed as a Roadside Assistance officer, one has to have as a a minimum completed the standard 4 year apprenticeship training to become a Certified Mechanic. Plus one must have the higher extra qualification "A Grade" (in US you might call them an "Advanced Master Technician"?) They really know their stuff. It's a shame if Road Assistance Officers in other countries are not as well trained and experienced.

I knew, and was installing car batteries when I was 6, my father, and my cousin taught me, everone should know how to do it, so they can do it themselves.

I worked for aaa for many years and wouldn't recommend a aaa battery

AAA told a customer of mine they needed a starter, battery, AND an alternator. I was super suspicious.

Got there and they just had lots of corrosion on the terminals, one was loose and the other was cracked. 🤦🏾‍♂️

Sometimes those folk have NO clue what they're talking about.

What a waste of time to put battery terminal posts on the side - just stick with the tried and tested method... standardization on top post is vastly superior.

AAA person might have hooked it up wrong out of ignorance... they are not mechanics. They get dozens of calls every day.
