I was happy to see Badger finding a career that helped him get back on his feet. And even in spite of Lopez casting stones on him outranking them, he proved that he was worthy to wear the sergeant stripes in the end.

Actually, if he's a family man, this is perfect for him. Relatively safe and sound, higher salary, regular hours works federal too to technically higher authority and he's not a desk jockey. Perfect.

I also love that they showed he was ok despite his mistake because movies like these usually portray other characters as losers if you're not in the "run straight towards danger, main character" club.

They mix them up to ensure that they avoid correctly identifying brands to avoid legal issues or because they haven't obtained permission to use specific brand names. They might deliberately use generic terms or incorrect brands to sidestep stuff like that but I don't know why they still use the real brands names, however they use it on other cars that arent their actual name for a bit of fiction.
