My RV life has been good to me. I’ve been part time RV traveler since 2020. The first year I lost 30#, with no change to diet. It’s the extra work involved to camp and hook up my car and all the other tasks in RV travel. I’m a solo traveler so I have to do everything alone: cooking, packing, camp set up, and I cook my meals in my RV. After the 1st year, I got serious and went on a medically supervised diet plan. I’m now 3 years into my RV travel and have lost 85#. I’m the same weight when I was 22 yr old [I’m 60 now]. RV life has been better to me than anything else in my life. Thank you for sharing! 😊

NO SUGAR. Watch the weight fall off, better focus and less fatigue. Take control and enjoy the rest of your days.

Stacey I am so excited for you! Irene Iron Fitness is the best thing you could do. I started working with Chris in March of this year and she has been the best! I have learned so much and my relationship with food had come a long way. I am so excited to see how you love it 🎉 Irene Iron Fitness is a game changer!!!!

Thank you for posting this video! This is a topic that is sometimes ignored for RVers. Sending good thoughts as you work to improve your health.

I feel ya, it's taken 2 1/2 years but have lost 175 pounds with hard work and determination.
My numbers have improved so much. Diet is hard but I usually make menus and prep before we travel.
One thing I do like and if you can is pilates or something like that on YouTube.
Also maybe a small stepper you could use whole sitting or travel days in your seat while riding.
Keep healthier snacks available on travel days( trail mix, maybe meat and cheese sticks, etc) and plenty of water.
Stay positive and with good mindset and determination, it will come.
We are not fun time but since retirement at beginning of year we have done alot more and have found some amazing hikes.
You can do it, i believe in you. And always remember you are worth it. ❤

It doesn’t matter where I am when I’m on the road (which is always) I take time for a good walk and do all my own cooking. No fast food. Simple as that.

Retired Navy couple here. CARNIVORE is the answer. America has terrible food that is killing everyone. Seed oils and preservatives are bad. Worked wonderful for my family.

RV fulltime travel has improved our health, then again, we move twice a year which gives us time to become familiar with local farmers, artisan breads and trying new hikes each week.

My husband and I have faced similar problems with health issues as you have described. We started full-time RVing in 2017. We just went crazy, going here, going there, . We wanted to just see and do everything. Well, we changed - had to.

First change was - no more than 4 hours driving in a day. So that means we travel more slowly. I have actually planned to cook something when we stop at a rest area for a break.

Cooking at rest areas is one method I use to keep food in the refrigerator that is healthy. When I cook, say a soup, I double or triple the recipe so all I have to do is put it in the microwave to heat it up when I am tired. I call this "planned-overs" not "left-overs".

We also stay a minimum of 1 week at our destinations. We spend a month in Maine because we love it so much. We winter at one resort in Florida because I am finished with snow and ice. That is when we see doctors and take care of health issues.

This yeaar we joined a gym that is part of a chain, so we have some continuity when we travel. I also use free weights. I worked with a personal trainer in order to learn to exercise and strength-train properly.

I think that is it for the changes we have made. I will be on the lookout for you as we travel this great country of ours.

Very doable. You've got the right attitude, good information, enough energy to keep going. You'll have so many "wins" from doing this consistently for the next six months that you'll want to keep it up when you stand back, take a look at yourself, and reassess. Way to go!!!!

Appreciate you being transparent. It is a difficult thing to figure some of this stuff out living on the road. I hope you are able to figure out the things that will help you find your healthy self again. 🤗- Michelle

Hey Stacy! Thanks for this video. It really hits home with us.

After 6 years as nomads, we have found ourselves in the same boat. We’ve even taken a break from posting videos over the past few weeks to get focused on our health.

Like you, we thought living a healthier life would be much easier as full-time RVers. But we agree with everything you said in this video. It’s not easy. What’s easy is immersing ourselves in the fun, interesting and tasty places we visit, and being distracted by everything around us.

But we also got some not so great test results this year. So like you, we are making major changes to our lifestyle right now. We’re with you. To continue traveling we’ve got to learn how to keep our health a top priority.

Thanks again for sharing the reality. We’ll be sharing your message with our audience as well. It’s an important one.

Great episode. We should all reevaluate whether we are nomads or not. My health has declined since retiring, period. I’m not even a nomad.

Wow! Thank you for making this video. We are retired and travel full time. We are currently home for the holidays and also our annual doctor’s visit. My bloodwork results came back and I am shocked to say the least. I was feeling so defeated and guilty, but motivated to put my health and strength first. Watching your video makes me feel less alone in this battle and it has given me even more motivation to improve my health. Good luck on your journey and hopefully we will see each other on the road.

You can do it. We never travel 500 miles a day. We like to have time to explore and get our steps in when we get to an area. We struggle the same as you. We bought the bands about 3 years ago. Time to use them. 😊 Lynn and Danny

All the walking when camping is making my health a lot better but we stay for a long time in each location and walk around a lot exploring.

Agree with everything you said. As a woman who has always been active and maintained a decent body weight, once I hit post menopausal, it changed the game big time. We needed to slow down so I could have a doctor to help with hormones which takes time. Even though I miss our adventures, having a routine makes a huge difference along with hrt. No more daily headaches! We still live in our RV in a beautiful RV community and can leave when we want, we just don't travel near what we used to. I feel so much better and you will too

Thank you for sharing! It’s helpful knowing I’m not alone with maintaining a healthy lifestyle while on the road. We’ve been full time for almost 3 years and everything you said resonates with me. The lack of work routine, travel days, no gym, etc. And, can we add Menopause to the list please!
I’m in for creating healthy change in the new year!
