Love my Duo, I have a Fold 3 too and could never go back to a boring slab phone... Even though I have the Fold, I am strangely drawn to the Duo most of the time... Love the hardware, it's impossibly thin... Great video, looking forward to Michael's take on it... Hope we Duo owners get Android 11 too one day...

I have purchased the 512 gb Surface Duo 2. I had been a Window's Phone Fan for many years but passed on the OG Duo as it was lacking in many areas. I pre-ordered the Duo 2 and received on launch last Thursday. The main points for me in deciding to spend almost $2k on the Duo 2 to replace my Galaxy S9+ was the decent camera, notification bar and the presence of the latest chipset. At home, at my laptop docking station, I do not have dual monitors but am constantly snapping my windows so that I have two programs (apps) open side-by-side to allow me to work efficiently. I see the same ability to be productive while out and about using the Duo 2. It may even allow me to go on business trips and leave my 5 lb XPS 17 at home and do all of my work remotely with the Duo 2. The Duo 2 will be my daily driver.

Wow! Excellent review of the phone. I don't use my camera on the Duo 2 for artistic shots and find it excellent for my purposes. But I was fascinated by the ample comparisons you presented and believe the photo quality stood up well against the others! I love my Duo 2, which falls into the same "Productivity" space as the old Blackberries--a space too long ignored by phone developers. When typing I always use both screens, the text on the top with the keyboard filling an entire screen on the bottom; I experience no lag or difficulties. Hooray for your recognizing the values. Please show your review to Fisher, who should re-record his review with fresh positivity!

Also, I am likely going to buy this. I work in an office/manufacturing environment and being on the move as much as I am, having the multitasking ability is very enticing. Weirdly enough I like the inconvenience of some of the stuff that make it not so quick to use. I appreciate a digital detox. Honestly the part that drives me nuts is that we cant close it all the way

I actually love this review because it illustrates the fact that the camera can hold its own against other phones with better cameras. I'll wait until the price goes down but i definitely think eventually I'll upgrade to the Duo 1. I went back to my Note 10+ due to the bugs and lack of NFC.

I am a user of the original Surface Duo since day 1 last year. It's my daily driver, no regrets. I appreciate the better cameras in Duo 2, it looks like it keeps up mostly with the top cameras in other slab/fold phones. I love my Surface Duo, only ran out of battery twice now in over a year of using it, for truly short durations to charge. I will wait until Duo 3 to upgrade or the three years of support. I know I will never go for another phone; duo screen is awesome! This device spoils you for other, I learned the gestures. If it's important to get the best picture, I simply whip out my Lumia 950 which still rocks with its 20MP Carl Zeiss lens! I can still take amazing pictures and videos with Duo so it does not feel like a compromise to me as long as you have light.

Usually I wait, I have the dou 1 and I love it. I don't get that much input lag but it is frustrating sometimes. I love this thing enough to deal with this issues

Home builder. Duo worked really well, it eliminated the need for a laptop, but the camera software was so bad, I wanted to rip the phone in half. Went back to my s10. Got the Duo 2, and the new camera works well enough. Personally, I never felt enraged by swiftkey typing, but I agree it's a little slower. Best phone ever. Thanks for the review. Learned a few things about the phone I didn't know.

I’m so torn between this and the Z Fold 3. I liked the Surface Duo 1, but that dumpster fire Android OS they released was what killed it. This iteration however seems much better. I rarely take photos with my phone. I do on occasion. I’d prefer this layout to the z fold, simply because that crease in the screen makes my OCD crazy. I think for Teams calls, video calls, some content consumption and messaging, it will be ok for my needs. Battery life is probably my only concern. Guess I’ll give it a try. Great review. Thanks for being impartial. Definitely a nice change from other reviewers.
