I know years ago there were studies that showed that for a great many of people, fitness negated the effect of so-called over nutrition. I definitely wish I had worked on fitness first.

I believe that this doctor knows that what he is saying is based on scientific knowledge and crystalization of knowledge ! He is my guru in health. I have listened to him on other YouTube programs.

The quality of the food we eat is also extremely significant. Look at the diets of Europeans vs. their weight. Our food is very low in nutrition because of the poor soil and soil management AND all the convenience foods and the chemical contamination in them.

Metabolic syndrome is actually the 2nd horseman to T2DM in terms of hazard ratio when you examine the retrospective outcome data

Over-nutrition is an odd word to use. You mean gorging yourself to obesity. There’s no nutrition in bad/ toxic food.

The over consumption of sugars Specifically in the under consumption of Whole Foods vegetables lean proteins. Drinking and eating foods with high sugar content from the moment they get up to the moment they go to bed it’s a vicious cycle

Metabolic disease due to nutritional imbalance is THE root cause for the three horsemen in the majority of cases.

We simply eat too much carbs and fat.

It’s NOT over nutrition, it’s over eating zero nutrition toxic food. It’s also wrong to describe this stuff as food because the word food implies sustenance. The highly processed, high sugar, seed oil infused junk does not sustain you. Dr. Attia knows better, or should know better. He tries to remain relevant but even then he refrains from criticising big food.

I always find it interesting that you refer to them as the four horsemen. Are you a man of faith of some sort, or is that a sort of parody of words intersecting science, faith, prophetic beliefs, and interpretations of varying degrees of false prophets, or you could say speculators/influencers in every industry and system and nation on earth? You seem like a wise man.

When l grew up in the 50s & 60s the daily caloric allotment was 1200 per day. How & who decided you all could eat 2, 000 a day now ?
Is it any wonder everyone is all obese now ?
800 × 365 = 292, 000
EXTRA CALORIES A YEAR !!!

Also hormonal imbalance, not just over nutrition (ie. PCOS).
I’m always surprised you haven’t done a podcast about PCOS given how many women suffer…
