This concept is called rectal medicine I don't know the exact name. But you can call it a suppository. suppository is a plug of medicine designed to melt at body temperature within the rectum (back passage, or bottom).

I'm just super glad I can swallow at least some tablets now.

And that I've never gotten a rectal injection. That said, I have gotten injections in back, ankles and arms so.. Needles for medicine don't scare me at all. ..If done by a professional/Nurse/Doctor.

I used to be afraid of swallowing pills too but after I got really sick I eventually learned to swallow pills, but I still can't swallow 2-4 pills in one go though or swallow pill in one I need to finish a whole glass for it to go om 🤣

I was close to an obstruction (due to medication and a history of a slow movin gut). I was trying very hard to drink medication preparations but they all kept coming up. I had been admitted for most of the day and I was desperate. It had been over two weeks since I had gone.

One of the nurses gave me a. Gastric nasal tube with out any numbing medication at all. I was glad to bypass the saltiness that was causing issues, but I sure did wish she had numbed the tip of the tube!!!

Of course, like me she could have just been having a hard day. Compassion both ways is important. Thanks to all the docs, nurses, hospitality and all to keeep things running!

I prefer the injection... fast 😊 you don’t have to take it for days like pills

I'm not even that scared of the injection! I'll just take it!! But the pill... Omg the pill...

I can't but I still just somehow swallow the pill for most of the time as it goes inside it comes outside by vomiting every pill I take it's such a pain

Anyone got a good method that can be useful?

Always go for it as my number 1 choice
