this is true. i work for a yacht brokerage firm. i'm an assistant. we sell yachts that are 10s of millions of dollars. Most of the time our best clients own boring businesses like metal fabrication, waste management, etc. Sometimes they're trust fund babies and once in a while it'll be a celebrity pop star, rapper, fashion designer, a football player or something "cool".

Edit: I also think I should mention most of these people are in their 40s, 50s and older. It's DEFINITELY uncommon to have a client who is 20-30 in comparison but we have some

I learned this in high school. Parents sent me to a school out of our district because it was a better school in a nicer area. I rode the bus with kids who lived in genuine multi-million dollar mansions. I asked them what their parents did and the most exciting one was "my dad owns a paper company"
