Average revenue after all costs that the funeral home keeps is around 400 dollars. Very hard career especially to get started in. Wholesale costs of caskets and vaults are very high which leaves less profit from merchandise. Funeral service is not the cash cow everyone thinks. I have several sub-division come up around my property lately in Florida. The homes are so close together and they have limited parking, and even less room for a large boat or a 30’ RV. I was going to set an acre from my property to rent out for a few of these home owners so they can place their toys. I will have a lawyer write up paperwork to keep me from from liabilities and see how it goes. Space is getting tight.
