Oh man, you have no idea how helpful you've been. I live in a pretty remote place and my iphone is about the only thing available for recording. I have watched several of your vids and they're great--thanks!!!

Thank you sooo much! I did it before but it was automatic, i must have did it by accident. Now i learned i must drag the clipper down to actually spit the track. Your video is very helpful. Quick and straight to the point. We need more videos like yours.

Thanks! I was trying to make a ringtone and there was some silence at the start and I didnt know that you had to slide the scissors :3

Good job Pete. FYI - you can join AUDIO regions by selecting MERGE.

Thank you. The dragging down on the scissor icon to split it wasn’t super intuitive to me for some reason. Guess I’m not alone. Lol. Hope you have a merry Christmas and a great 2024.

I should have watched this 1st. I tried with an audio track, and ended up with some crazy, but pretty cool sounding percussion loop lol

No matter what I Google about GarageBand, your videos always come up at the top of Google’s search results. It seems there’s nothing you don’t know about this app, Pete. Thank you for all your videos and all your help! Since my Mac broke I was forced to switch from Studio One Professional to GarageBand on my iPad. I’ll admit, I never took GarageBand seriously before, but I do now, thanks to all your video lessons showing me just how much GarageBand is capable of. I’m a convert and sold. Is it worth spending the money on other DAWs when I get another Mac? So far, I have to say it’s not worth it, unless I want to spend all my time getting complicated with multiple buses, groups, and the like. You’ve pretty much convinced me that most of that is not absolutely necessary. The ONLY thing I really wish GB had, and hope they add at some point, is the ability to side chain. More automation in GB would be cool, but again, I might just waste time fiddling around instead of cranking out a finished song. Apple should pay you for some GB demos whenever they need them. You’re a great teacher and a heck of a songwriter. “What’s Wrong With People Today?” - Pete Johns. Cheers, mate! 🍺
