What type of evil youtuber makes his video barely over 8 minutes? Due to inflation, you must watch this video for 10 minutes

Back in my day RP costed about the same as it did up to just a few weeks ago with a decade less of inflation. Skins were low effort, there was no "My Shop" discounts, no hextech crafting (which also makes champs 2x easier to unlock), no monthly Prime rewards. People are crazy entitled.

Even if economically, your points make sense, this is the most tone deaf approach you could have possibly taken lmfao

When people say “greed” it’s usually because they somehow think that this extra money is going straight to the pocket of a small group of people on the board. We quickly forget that riot has employees that have families they need to take care of, and making some extra money as a company right now may be the difference between letting employees keep their jobs or needing to lay some people off. As much as we hate rising prices, it’s arguably better than mass layoffs

Totally agree, I never understood how people complain about skins you don't have to buy

I've got no reason to complain because of how many ways you could acquire skins. There's the monthly prime through twitch that gives you MONTHLY RP and skins. The loot system and events with mission boxes.

“inflation” when we are literally about to be in a recession

You can play the game for free, this is true. The cosmetics are purely optional to play the game. So honestly, cba to care about what Riot does with their RP so long as it doesn't affect the gameplay overall. Sure, I have spent money on RP in the past, but I don't have to and haven't in over a year. Haven't wanted to and this whole RP price increase really just incentivizes me not to anymore. I got the TFT little legends I wanted, and I am overall happy about what I have.

Im ok with the rp price increase it is understandable. But what I dont like is the changes to ME, removal of the blue essence shop and changes to the event ticket details compared to how they used to be.

Riot is actually fairly priced and you can buy what you want. They don't have the option to buy loot boxes.

Glad you are back! I would argue your corporate greed logic is flawed though. I know you are trying to dumb it down for people to understand, but even in your keyboard example, Riot would also increase their prices as they have a fiduciary responsibility to shareholders as part of Tencent holdings. Unfortunately we don’t have super accurate breakdowns of Riot financials specifically, but the financial reports of some of these publicly traded companies are showing huge profit gains after “raising prices to adjust for inflation”. If it really was just to offset inflation the profit margins would be consistent. What else is that if not corporate greed?

Well they sure are some lazy a.s developers !
They buffed ASol and nerfed Ad Comps to a point the meta is a joke
AND they didn't plan to make a hotfix 🤡

Riot games are greedy and lazy clowns

Sorry bro whilst it’s great to remain positive, but unfortunately the cost of livings has gone up greatly where as most peoples income has not. Stimulus was just for America to, here in Australia, we are struggling as there continues to be a massive rental crises as most our property is owned by foreign investors. Yet another corporate decision to increase the costs. Do you think their employees will be getting raises? Other than the director and CEO. Absolutely not. Also look at their decision to decrease the amount of RP given through prime membership, you literally have to spend money / top up more RP to buy anything. Very greed oriented. I understand if they had to do this due to TFT, but do it strictly for TFT only. I will be a FTP player from here on in.

Your rationale assumes viable competition exists. In the case of gas prices and certain food prices, there is no real competition at a high level. Sure, 7-11 can have milk for 10 cents less than Safeway but that's not substantial nor global. Same for gas. The oil prices are controlled at a high level by OPEC and no one can just decide not to raise their prices if they wanted to.

In the case of Riot, no one else can sell RP, skins, or other content for their games except them (without risking account bans at least). There is no competition.

I agree with you that these price increases do not make Riot greedy. The logic you're using to say that isn't applicable here though.

I do accept your opinion bunny, but I do not totally agree.

Yall do know that specific skins regularly have benefits, right? Like animation cancellations are a thing and certain skins do make it easier...keep saying it is not pay to win when the last 10 champs released all nearly have to be banned for a more balanced game as well.
It is also hard to accept that a fake currency that does not actually have any value increased in value.
TFT has become who learns the meta first ans after that it really becomes a lot of luck at the higher ranks. And TFT is the only not pay to win part of LoL according to this video. Isnt TFT a spinoff and not a stand alone game at this time?
