League just has an absolutely massive technical debt, like the technical director way back was the guy who made big rigs: over the road racing (one of the worst games ever made where nothing works). I think that Riot now has some talented people working on their game, but it doesn’t change the fact that the base game and client were coded horribly from the start.

Thats not to mention other bugs. Like the free rotation champs not being available in CO-OP vs AI, the client somehow lagging on powerfull pc's, the screen turning into rainbow mush when some pepole alt tab out of the game and many more

Many games have a client and a server. It's like one of two ways to do an online game. League is relatively unique in having _two_ clients.

When u go play dota, and realize u can queue up, and go practice tool in less than 5 seconds, change hero literally instantly, preview skins u dont even own, control multiple heroes (enemies aswell) at once to replicate duels, like, u just start wondering what the fuck are we doing in this piece of shit game. Oh and it has voice chat obviously, cuz its a real game.

At least they fixed the bug where u got stuck in loading screen at 100% and u could hear fountain sounds and got afk warning.. lost over 200 LP from that bug in s13

This is not an accurate description. All multiplayer games have a server/host and a client.

League is different in the fact that it has 2 clients, the "client" and the "game". The "client" is pretty much a web browser. Another case where this model was implemented was Battlefield 's Battlelog, which arguably had fewer issues but was still phased out.

Reminder the lead dev back in the day was the guy who made Big Rigs (the worst programmed game of all time) purely infamous due to its bugs. And they are still building off of his work to this day.

meanwhile dota 2 has it's own custom game tab where people can create their own modes such as making it a tower defense game

Don’t forget: The lead dev that played a hand in creating leagues spaghetti code was also the creator of Big Rigs. Nothing to do with the client per se, but that really does speak about league as a whole doesn’t it

The Technical Lead for the initial development of League from 2006-2008 was the guy who created Big Rigs, so at this point I'm not surprised anymore.

The runes thing is so true, especially if you load a custom runeset sometimes it defaults to their preset ones -_-
