I'm still in shock. He was such an amazing actors and probably has some of the most fascinating characters in his catalogue. Omar was special, but there was characters like Chalky White that he played with such heart that those performances were unforgettable. R.I.P

Transparent, honest, selfless service, humble, mentor to others, listener, activists, he was an excellent actor who put his all into any role he played. Understood social injustices, and he shared from his struggles in life and how he overcame them. Never forgotten, R.I.P

I had the pleasure of meeting Micheal twice. I used to manage a van’s boutique store in SoHo NY & he would constantly buy kicks. I gifted him a collectors item skate deck. Last conversation we had was about one of his friends passing. It’s crazy now that he passed I’m like damn, he is now my friend who passed. Trips me out every time I think about it. His legacy will live on. Rest in paradise my brother.

Met him on a production. I was pulling into the office and could tell from a distance it was him in front of the office just pacing. He wasn't on the cast yet and I said ignorantly I didn't know you was gonna be on this. He replied "me either" and we laughed and hand shook hugged. He didn't even know me but I felt like we had been friends for a while. His smile genuinely is from the heart. He's goated in my heart too.

Only actor I have or will ever shed a tear over. The man was carrying the torch of human compassion and it's up to all of us to continue carrying it for him. Rest in peace and power, brother.

He was such a nice person. I worked at a top of the line catering/service establishment right in Times Square NYC. This place hosted huge gatherings for events, premieres for movies... etc. One night I was working a serving shift and had to pass out drinks to the arriving guests....Super classy event!!!
At one point I walked up to the bar and I looked up ... and he was there! I was pretty taken back but I acted casual. At this place we weren’t allowed to be “star struck” we would literally be fired on the spot if we started taking photos or ask for autographs...At the end of the day they are people like us!
Anyways we spoke for a moment and he was so very nice!! I know this was a little long winded but he really was fantastic and warm soul ❤️

Breaks my heart knowing he won't be doing anymore incredible work. He was pure talent. He had such a gentle but slightly rough way of his work. Sad he relapsed and put himself in sticky situations while in recovery ☹️💓
