Gia was not bisexual, she was a gay woman. She came out to her mother and declared herself a lesbian, when she was in her teens. Gia was sent to therapy by her mother because of her declaration. Ultimately, the therapy sessions had the opposite effect of what Gia's mother wanted. It was the therapist that helped Gia become more comfortable and confident in being a lesbian. She did from time to time, have feelings of discomfort with being gay due to a number reasons, her mother's unwavering disapproval of her sexuality was most likely the main one.

Gia Carangi wasn't bisexual.. She was gay. And she made it very clear to everyone that she wanted a wife, not a husband. So the remark that she loved both sexes is not correct

I think that it is her mother who made her like this. I mean--liking women, desperately wanting women attention.
Gia loved her mother so much, she was the most important person to her and she left Gia. That is so cruel...abandoning such a young girl. I think that was the reason why she was later looking so desperately for any women attention - she tried to compensate for the loss of her mother.
That is so sad. I'm crying 😢
