I am not a security expert, but rather an amateur. However, this phone raises a set of questions:
1) How is it better than solutions currently available, such as GrapheneOS? Except hardware killswitches
2) Is it open source?
2.1) If it is not open source, why should I trust it? Is there a way you can prove that the phone is not backdoored?
3) Many functions, such as perfect forward secrecy in up messenger, are portrayed as something unique, but in fact they are common. In fact, [matrix] protocol used in messenger is known to send more metadata than Signal protocol
4) What is insecure about Signal and Threema messengers? Why is UP portrayed as more secure?

I like the idea but i need more stats on the phone before i get it like does it have sd card slot an does it fast charge or does it have a desktop enviroment, does it wirlessly charge, what kind of gpu is on it

Website shows MVNO will work with that being said since you expect AT&T will be available with the phone before pre orders I’m hoping cricket wireless will work since it’s a MVNO of at&t

For those concerned it's proprietary software; If this used Open Source code wouldn't that make it less secure? ... you know, since hackers can see how it operates.

It allows for other messaging apps and can integrate them into one app,
this can be a good or bad thing, it is not open source, neither hardware
or software, they had a review by some random company to check their
security etc, not sure how much you can trust that, hardware
killswitches are found on other devices too, they haven't reinvented the
wheel, this glows a lot, it is also paid
