The experience on the Pixel is absolutely better than on the iPhone 7+. Benchmarks are one thing but user experience is where it counts, I get exactly where you're coming from on this one.

the best thing about the Pixel is the free storage, you never have to worry about running out of space. the screen and Google assistant are really good as well.

I have had both Android and iOS devices, once I switch to iOS I never wanted to switch back to android, mainly because of all the added bloat wear companies put on Android devices. Eventually Android devices start slowing down, power cycle or just mess up overtime . That's what made iOS so good is that Apple controlled everything, meaning the device would run smoothly. Now this is were the Pixel really shines, not only is it actual stock Android, but Google has control of the whole device. I got a Pixel because I was intrigued to see how good it would be and man was I surprised. I've had the phone for about 3 weeks and the more time I spend with it the more I love it ! I always thought leaving iOS and iMessage would be hard, but it hasn't been an issue at all. iPhones haven't shown anything new to be excited about for a long time, Google has definitely taken this device in the right direction. People always ask me why I like this device so much, for me the phone just works, it works great it's hard to explain, it's one if those things that you have to experience for your self in order to understand.

David put all the words I was trying to say in my mouth about why I went with the Pixel as well. This is my first android phone after being years with iOS and feel like why did I not do this sooner. And BTW, I waited patiently, but damn, it was worth. The Very Blue edition design rocks!

I purchased both the 7 Plus and the Pixel knowing I'll return one. Although I've used iOS 75% of the time I keep leaning towards the Pixel. The main reason for me is the Google integration/AI/Assistant. Being able to do so much via voice is pretty incredible.

The Google Pixel smart phone can rightly be marked out, not so much as a turning point, but as a point of first arrival, when the key elements are thoroughly integrated to work better together for the first time.

I have the pixel XL and aside from not having my front facing speakers like my Nexus 6p did which I LOVED it is a great phone.
