Stay away we have enough traffic, road rage drivers, homeless and over priced houses.

I have lived here since 1976. I miss old Austin. Graduated high school here and went to UT so I hate to leave but it is so crowded now.

For a city and metro area the size of Austin not to have more major league teams is crazy.

Great video. One quick correction though: Honolulu is actually the southernmost capital city in the US. However, Austin is the southernmost capital in the continental US, and Tallahassee, Florida's capital, is not very far behind.

To the 75 percent of commenters all squawking "don't move here": well you got your wish, because Austin's growth rate has slowed down significantly in the past two years (even if its suburbs' haven't) and the city has now been surpassed by Fort Worth for the title of fourth most populous city in Texas.

Austin is quickly growing it's homeless population, and doesn't feel like the city is doing much to help people recover 😢 reminds me a lot of San Francisco

Love Austin. Like a home away from home. As someone who lives in Louisiana it’s a nice place to take a trip to and see a completely different way of life.

Austin, is the southernmost state capital in the mainland United States. Honolulu, Hawaii, is the southernmost state capital in in the United States.

I bet that the state capital of Hawaii is further south.

Add to that…
Largest homeless population per capita in the state.
Fastest growing crime rate of large cities in Texas.
Making it an incredibly exciting place to visit!

it’s close but at ~30.2N it is just south of Baton Rouge at and Tallahassee at 30.4 latitude though the 1-10 corridor passes through the latter 2 capitol cities and south of Austin

Austin is packed, its saturated, highway exits back up into highways, sometimes half a mile long
