Before the word dinosaur was created, the giant lizards were refered to as dragons. Hence the stories about them.

#STARTOPIC A Biologist who shall remain nameless has found his life’s long search for a dragon - yea right. He/she would be so overwhelmed that they would have had a movie of the thing and had their name splashed on every news channel in the world, or caught the thing as proof.

Flying lizards, or dragons, (Draco taeniopterus) actual gliding lizards from Indonesia. They do not have actual "bat wings" like shown in this picture, but they do have folds of skin which enable them to glide from trees.

I saw number 19 in Florida about 10 years ago, and yes, I killed it because the lady, who called it a "worm", asked me to because it was blocking her front door and she was horrified. It had to be at least 3 or 4 feet long

I found mud puppies in Marengo, Iowa as a family presented themselves at my back basement door. I invited them in after their second visit. Paws and Claws when I presented to them never had Hell Bendsre and didn t know these lizards exist. They live in the Iowa River on the Eastside. I called Paws and Claws a month later when they told me they died. I was sad when I found that out.... 🧀
