I mulch mowed 4 acres (setting height "2") this past winter with 2 of these cos I couldnt get a ride on onto squishy wet soil in eltham...ish victoria. They are a beast of a unit

I purchased a 36v ryobi 46cm. I used it on a reasonable size yard with grass that wasn’t taken care of in years. It kept choking out even on the highest setting with 2 batteries running. It died after my second use. Return it back to Bunnings. This absolutely thumps the top of the range ryobi in stress testing wow!

Give us the skinny - all of these battery mowers seem seem to have come a long g way. For a bloke who is looking to go battery, what is your view on best buys for mower, whipper blower combo if we are not attached to any particular battery system?

I feel that the Ego Select HP SP is good with the commercial trimmer and any of their blowers, but I don't have the liberty of testing them all.

Would that be overkill for a chap who does a few lawns in his spare time?

The battery mower with the power that is the closest to petrol but question were you using the high lift mode? That keeps it at max 3300 rpm and obviously you won't get much run time if kept on that mode.

Have you tried ego? I have a ego lawn mower and it is actually pretty good, I heard that they are gonna make a new commercial mower soon aswell
