Tim, great videos using this Milwaukee. I have a 47cm Ego mower and have been mowing acreage for some time. I have access to solar power so can mow all day using two batteries - one charging and one working. Apart from a lunch break I have no need to stop so get through quite a bit of work. It is tough on the mower . . . 10cm to 30cm mostly weedy - but lush - growth. The batteries are impressive with little deterioration over 12 months. The charger is truely excellent. The pros with the Ego are 1. The plastic base . . . Indestructible . . . I have used steel and alloy over the years and after using the Ego poly carbonate bases in all conditions for over 7 years I am completely sold on plastic. 2. The light weight of the mower. 3. The great range of amp/hr batteries and super fast recharges. I am absolutely happy with the Ego brand. Never had any maintenance at all. However because of the large area of my work I have checked out the Milwaukee. The heavy steel base is a negative. I have questions about the two 12amp/hr batteries. How long do they last before needing a recharge? And Milwaukee's rediculous Super charger which only charges one battery at a time in a system that requires two batteries to operate the mower - imcomprehensible! They have a dual Rapid charger but that will not recharge fast enough to keep me working non-top. And the cost for two Super charges is around $500 compared to less than $200 for an Ego Turbo charger. It is these issues that have so far stopped me from buying a Milwaukee. However I could still be persuaded to change over to Milwaukee if I could be assured that I wouldn't need to buy a half dozen batteries in order to keep working non-stop all day. I have to say I am impressed by the instant and super power of the Milwaukee. Clearly better than the Ego. Overall I am more than happy with battery electric mowers. They are very powerful, tough and reliable with - so far - zero maintenance. I would never go back to petrol. For me it is just a question between brands. Milwaukee is the right size and power. They just need to sort their recharging system and its pricing, that's all. Thanks again Tim. Great video. Love your work. You always do a good job.

Damn that stuff looks good at only 2 weeks. Not sure I would get a Milwaukee mower at the price I would guess it's going to be. Once Milwaukee gets out a full line of equipment it may be worth looking into if you can have all red in the garage. I'm kinda sunk into ego now I'm not looking into it but it did good.

Hey man, can you do another review on the Masport Contracotr after using it for so long?
I'm mostly interested in: - differences between the quad blade of the Masport, and Honda's dual blade,
- cutting heights and its intricacies using the mulch plug and catcher and it bogging down.

Cheers!
Josh

Whoa. Wow. First of all...that lawn!!!! It's gorgeous! Man, oh man. Secondly, the results with that mower are spectacular. It looks like the mower did a bang-up job. I like it. Did you? Good vid. Thanx.

Hey mate, wondering what battery system you would buy into if you were looking at garden tools like blower, mower, whipper snipper and a chainsaw? Or would you just stick with the same brand as your tools as everything on offer is much of a muchness.

I've used the Stihl MS220C chainsaw and I'm really impressed, it was on par with their petrol chainsaws like the 242, so at least some battery products are right up there.

Hey Tim, love your videos. I've got a lot of Milwaukee gear so looking to get the 21inch mower now but also happy to change brands just for the mower, e.g go Makita potentially. Is the Milwaukee good enough to stick with or are there other brands I should at least look into in your opinion?

Seems like the handle is a bit lower on that one. Can it adjust higher? Awesome job once again tim

that will be my next mower.. I have a riding mower and I"m tired of the fumes and more importantly, the repair costs. Last time I had to get it repaired it was almost $800 USD and the cut is not that great..

Would have loved to seen you test the mulching on this grass, give the Milwaukee a real workout. Most mowers will bag even very tall grass OK

Hi Tim, I appreciate your videos. I am looking to change from Ego 2135XP. I have been running it for 2.5 years as a commercial operator in Vic. Unlike Aussiebattler3527, My plastic deck has self imploded with multiple cracks and is now starting to separate, allowing grass & debris to exit out the side. (Probably fine for perfect lawns). My Ego Mower was replaced under warranty after 3 months (after a 3 month as a contractor..not) The second one has had 2 years of med-hard daily use, however the self propulsion has died due to a terribly designed nylon pinion gear designed to induce planned obsolescence. You cannot replace just the pinion gear, so for a new S.Propulsion unit @ $350 plus shipping from QLD, plus labor to remove and reinstall?? Ridiculous. For comparison Honda HRU gearbox approx $160?

Bye Bye Ego. It is not worth my money to replace the gearbox and still have a damaged deck and i'm due for a 3rd catcher bag ($100+ shipping)
Ego Pros; Does a great cut, (Lightweight & range of cut height very good) easy to maintain blades (I have them off, sharpened & balanced & back on in approx 10-12 minutes). Battery life good. I use approx 20-30AH per day. However 7.5AH battery replaced under warranty, 2x other 7.5AH batteries have cell issues out of warranty. New 10Ah battery purchased $550, late 2022.

I also use the same Masport contractor SP21" mower. Its ok. Its powerful, economical, but a tank to maneuver. I have replaced two idler puller bearings in 2.5 yrs with minimal use.
I am tossing up between the Milwaukee & Greenworks Commercial 25". I enjoy your videos, thanks:) Cheers from Wes

Great job but why not mulch and put the nutrients back into the ground?

So out of all the battery mowers you have tested which one one preforms the best and are the self propelled mowers better for a medium sized lawn 80 minutes mowing time my budget would be 1, 000

Hi Tim,
I have a buffalo that I like to keep really short and once a year I rip it right down. I use a Honda 4 stroke but thinking about making the switch to battery. I recently tried a ryobi 36V self propelled from a friend and noticed that I couldn't cut it short enough because the height bumps up automatically on those machines like a one way ratchet. I would start the lawn on a level 3 and finish it on a level 5 and couldn't get it to stay in the 3 position.
Is this Milwaukee any better? Does it do the same? is it also a toy mower!?

A beautiful lawn. It’s lush and like carpet. I had wondered why you chose this sod, but it’s clearly a great choice when regularly maintained. How are the grasses in the front coming along?
