This scene perfectly depicts a mothers forever emotions with her kids. they are the part of her womb, they are part of her blood and flesh, she still feels them and nurtures them, loosing luke was like loosing herself.
Also this entire series brilliantly potrays the pain a woman goes through to bring a new life to this world. It is really like a battlefield for them.
