do not do this method if u feel like for any reason u might frog what u made with it. i did this for a book cover bag a few months ago when i was just starting crochet, it turned out horrible so the other day i decided to frog it to reuse the yarn...big mistake, well it was fine till i realized i have to get it out of the z formation to even use it single stranded again. let's just say i have the biggest pile of tangled yarn ever sitting in a corner of my room. 😅🥴
