Double Sided Minky Blanket Tutorial

You can use this same sewing technique with any size blanket. Just cut two pieces of minky to the size desired and sew together the same way.

Fabric Requirements:
2 pieces of minky cut to 35x29 inch (We used 1 piece of Luxe Cuddle Seal in Cloud and 1 piece Luxe Cuddle Hide in Cloud by Shannon Fabrics.)

Tools Needed:
Sewing Machine
Walking Foot
Clover Wonder Clips or Flower Head Pins
Stretch Needles (recommended)
Polyester Thread (recommended)

NOTE: When washing and caring for your minky, NEVER use heat. Wash in cold water (with only detergent, no fabric softener) and dry on the air setting (no heat).

If your making a larger blanket with minky how do you attach the middle so when you wash it it doesn't get all funky?

You might want to remind people to make sure if they’re using two long pile fabrics to make sure the piles on each side are going in the same direction. :)
