Black women are spiritually not well and are in need of professional help! Truth is a healer!

Spot on great video. When the men mention this, it falls on deaf ears. The vast majority of us prefer our women to have natural hair. For any skeptics, consider this. Both free and enslaved BW had no problems getting men and having husbands with their natural hair.

When I was a little kid I tried to fight my auntie multiple times because she was hurting my cousins while doing their hair. I think I was still a toddler, it still doesn't sit right with me.

I cant tell you the amount of times I got a twist-out or wore my natural hair and asked “girl when you gone get your hair done?” and im like, it’s already done! 😭

Truthfully, I've never heard a non-black person say the word nappy. Seems most of the hair hate in our community feels like it comes from people bashing themselves and being convinced that the world is doing

This video was on time. Just saw a thumbnail of Joy Reid with blonde short hair, looking like a "Karen". Looks like she has contacts on as well.

But, cultural appropriation though...

I think we need to give 2022 it’s flowers, there’s many black women now wearing their natural hair and taking very good care of it. I get this message if it was years but more and more women are wearing natural even if they throw a wig on here and there underneath that wig their taking care of their hair. Back then didn’t have the products they have now to maintain it better and a lot of us aren’t listening to our old school grandma and started educating ourselves on our hair.

This hurts me because I feel like beautiful hair is a huge contributing factor to feeling feminine. What if I am unwilling to accept the bald look? It may be super cute for someone else, but for me, I want to be feminine and soft. Hair loss is a thing in my family tree, and the lace wig vibe has been a very rewarding option. I'm thankful for the women that have sacrificed their locks for their families and for my femininity. It's a fair trade and I receive it with gratitude and wear it with confident grace.

Short answer yes and somehow its bm fault not there mothers for using relaxers on them at 3 years old...or madam cj walker for setting their hair on fire with a comb.

I just had a friendship end because I told a black woman I didn’t want a black woman who dyed her hair blonde.

I must say as a black woman with natural hair it is not easy to manage when you have a coarse, thick, hard to comb texture and the longer it gets the more difficult to manage. It's easy to judge when you have 3b texture hair.On the other hand I agree that some of us have hatred for our hair or simply were not taught or care to learn how to manage it. It can either be laziness or the feeling of being overwhelmed or not feeling pretty with shrunken nappy hair I know I experienced it and I'm okay now I love my natural 4c hair and wouldn't trade it for anything else, but It took me decades to get here.

So much self hate yet they blame BM for everything.

Some people have to learn to be who they are while others know who they are. All the stereotypes contribute to black women's low self esteem just like the stereo type of black people eating chicken. It's not about the chicken it's about hatred and the need to degrade people and make them feel less than. They would do the same thing with steak if we ate steak all the time.

Wooo the self hate was laid out perfectly in under 3 mins! How can we expect others to see us and value us when we don't lead by example? Men glorify merrderr while women hide their crowns smdh.
